if it doesn't, then it's most likely a hardware issue. If you really want to see whether it's software or hardware, re-install your OS, install steam and try running those games again and see if problem persist. Have you OC your RAM? Changed the timings on them in the BIOS? Good to set the RAM to default values to see. I'm not sure if you have any RAM lying around, so I know it's not too convenient. I swapped out my RAM for known good one's that my issues are gone. CS:GO kept getting corrupt files after every play, in which I had to do an integrity check every time priorate launching CS:GO. This is a long shot, but I was having same issues when playing various games, one being Final Fantasy XV, which would crash on me every 5 minutes.

If you need to know anything else, please ask as a would like to get this resolved. Sorry for writing an essay but I just feel you would need as many details as possible. In case you where wondering my pc specs are:ġ6GB of HyperX Fury 2400mhz ram (2x8GB sticks) Like i said ETS2 seems to have fixed it self from running once in OpenGL but that's the only one that works as it did. The compatibility mode work around i have got to work does only work on a few games but I shouldn't have to do that when i know that the games run flawlessly on my PC. I cannot understand why this has happened as nothing dramatic has changed on my pc. Some other games in which this happens are:Ĭounter Strike Global Offensive (which i have got to work in compatibility mode as an administrator) But it did work fine before.

I also had the problem with Skyrim but i don't mind running that in compatibility mode as I can just put that down the the age of the game however the others which did run fine on my PC I cannot understand.

Insurgency as mentioned before (this just crashes straight to the desktop no matter what I do, if I sit in the menu, after a few seconds it crashes and the same for when I load a game.) Grand Theft Auto V (which did the same thing but now all of a sudden as the error "Please run Grand Theft Auto V using PlayGTAV.exe." I don't understand this as I am booting the game from steam which then opens the Rockstar Social Club Launcher), Some of the games which I have experience the main problem with are Įuro Truck Simulator 2 (which I did manage to fix by running it in OpenGL, it seems fine now when I run it with DirectX), However there is at least one game (Insurgency) in which this does not work. They only way around this I have found is to run the games in compatibility mode for windows XP (service pack 3) and as an administrator in some cases. I am having a problem with multiple games in my steam library in which when I launch the games, the games opens and then within a few seconds crashes to the desktop.
